Micron DDR5 in a dual socket server using Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8490H-60C processor with Intel® AMX achieves 7x3 gain for image classification used in computer vision when compared with DDR4 and 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8380 processor. The Micron DDR5 and 4th Gen Intel Xeon server is capable of annotating and labeling over 14,000 samples inferenced per second.

2. Micron DDR5 RDIMM 24/48/96 GB densities validated April 2023.

3. Benchmarks were performed by Micron’s Data Center Workload Engineering (DCWE) team in collaboration with Intel. DDR4 and DDR5 systems populated with 64GB RDIMMs in a one DIMM per channel (1DPC) configuration for a total of 1TB. Both systems were configured using the same software stack Alma Linux 9 (Kernel 5.14).
