By partnering with governments, educators, nonprofits, and industry leaders, Micron helps expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and build the workforce needed for the future of innovation.
Public private partnerships
Our impact partnerships unite industry leaders, nonprofits, coalitions, and alliances to tackle challenges like expanding access to STEM education and digital skills.
Micron and the Micron Foundation often collaborate with governments, nonprofits, and industry leaders. These collaborations go beyond contributions of financial capital. We co-create programs, share expertise and mobilize resources to deliver measurable outcomes— increased access to STEM education, skilled workforces, expanded innovation and economic growth, creating shared value for society and business.
Idaho Community Foundation
Micron is proud to join a growing public private partnership led by the Idaho Community Foundation to expand housing and essential services for Boise's most vulnerable residents. The Supportive Housing Investment Fund convenes local city government, healthcare systems, developers, and philanthropic partners to reduce reliance on emergency housing and strengthen long-term housing stability.
Lend A Hand India
Micron partners with Lend A Hand India (LAHI) and the State Governments of Gujarat and Telangana in alignment with key national education initiatives, including the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023. Through this partnership, government school students gain access to vocational, STEM, and AI-focused learning opportunities that help build pathways to future careers and economic mobility.
Penang Science Cluster and Micron collaborate with the Penang State Government and Malaysia's public education system to strengthen STEM education for indigenous and underserved students through teacher training, maker labs placed in local secondary schools and programs like AI bootcamps. This partnership fosters innovation and inclusion across Malaysia's growing tech ecosystem.
With Micron's leadership to bring Resilient Cities to Malaysia, Penang successfully launched the first-of-its-kind Resilience Strategy to strengthen the state's ability to adapt to resiliency challenges. This public private partnership brought together state government, city councils, private sector leaders, philanthropic organizations, and community groups, resulting in the appointment of Chief Resilience Officers and 30 initiatives designed to improve quality of life and reduce risk for ~18 million residents.
The Micron Foundation supports the UN Women WeSTEM program, which operates in partnership with the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, state skill development agencies and public education. It is transforming pathways for women enrolled in government ITIs and polytechnics across India to pursue meaningful futures in STEM. Since 2023, WeSTEM has equipped over 2,000 participants, and facilitated hundreds of job offers and has driven state governments to increase funding based on its success.
