Our AI portfolio seeks to advance responsible and inclusive AI adoption and usage. Our funding supports 3 focus areas: AI readiness, literacy and ecosystem development. Our tactics include skills-based volunteering, experiential learning, customer engagement, educator enablement, and partnerships. We empower learners and nonprofits to adopt AI tools, strengthen digital literacy and prepare students and communities for the workforce of the future.

AI strategy: Driving innovation and future workforce​

Micron's AI strategy empowers communities and nonprofits to harness AI for learning, productivity, efficiency, innovation, and workforce development.

AI readiness

Through skills-based volunteering and outcomes-based grants, we equip learners and educators with digital literacy and 21st century skills. We blend existing STEM and AI frameworks to accelerate uptake and foster soft skills for all.

AI literacy

We embed AI into the curriculum of our Signature Programs as well as other experiential STEM education programs for learners and educators.

AI ecosystem

We strengthen the AI ecosystem by joining our customers and partners to multiply our impact through collaborative AI field-building efforts. We fund the development of curriculum that enables long-term success through applied STEM education and social and cultural norm curriculum and delivery adaptations.

AI Bridges Program

Micron volunteers support learners, educators, and nonprofits to prepare for an AI future. Launched in India and scaling globally, our AI Bridges Program introduces students to AI fundamentals and real-world applications, including:

  • AI Fundamentals and Do-It-Yourself AI Projects
  • AI Innovation Challenges
  • Career Guidance and AI Mentorship Circles

Micron pledges to advance AI education and opportunity

By 2030, Micron will empower more than 40,000 American learners and educators through a mix of AI education programs, hands-on learning experiences and employee-led mentorship.

Initiatives include:

  • Incorporate AI lessons in 100% of our Signature Programs
  • Collaborate with customers and STEM funders to expand AI education
  • Launch an employee volunteer program to mentor over 1,000 students in AI
  • Partner with nonprofits to expand access to AI education for our communities
  • Launch free AI activities for teachers on Micron's Educator Hub
  • Expand access to technology through in-kind donations to youth-serving nonprofits

Expanding AI opportunity across Singapore

Launched in early 2026, our partnership with the Government of Singapore will bring hands-on AI education to those who need it most. Working with AI Singapore and local partners, we will reach more than 7,000 youth and community members, while training 75 educators and volunteers to continue providing AI education going forward.
