Micron 7450 NVMe SSD Firmware Update Instructions (E2MU200) 

Upgrade using nvme-cli

1.	Download and install latest version of nvme-cli from github.com: 
	a.	https://github.com/linux-nvme/nvme-cli/releases
2.	Obtain the required Micron 7450 NVMe SSD firmware from your Micron contact or from www.micron.com:
	a.	Firmware name: E2MU200
3.	List the SSDs in the system:
	a.	nvme list
		i.	Note: The target name (nvmeX) for the SSD
4.	To download the firmware, use the following nvme-cli commands:
	a.	nvme fw-download /dev/nvmeX<target> -f Micron_7450_E2MU200_release.ubi
		i.	Note: The same firmware .ubi file is used for all form factors and densities
5.	Now you need to commit and ‘activate later’ the firmware, use the following nvme-cli command:
	a.	nvme fw-commit /dev/nvmeX<target> -s 2 -a 1
6.	Power cycle the SSD to commit/activate the firmware
7.	Confirm the firmware has been successfully updated to version E2MU200
	a.	nvme list

Upgrade using msecli

1.	Download and install latest version of msecli from micron.com:
	a.	https://www.micron.com/products/solid-state-storage/storage-executive-software 
2.	Obtain the required Micron 7450 SSD Firmware from your Micron contact or from www.micron.com:
	a.	Firmware name: E2MU200
3.	List the SSDs in the system:
	a.	msecli -L
		i.	Note: The target name (nvmeX) for the SSD
4.	To download the firmware and ‘active later’, use the following msecli command:
	a.	msecli -F -U Micron_7450_E2MU200_release.ubi -n <Device Name> -S 2
		i.	Note: The same firmware .ubi file is used for all form factors and densities
5.	Power cycle the SSD to commit/activate the firmware
6.	Confirm the firmware has been successfully updated to version E2MU200
	a.	msecli -L
